- My summary is from a review on Rockstar's "Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare" by Nick Cowen, which is a third-person down loadable content. It features a couple of the main characters from the original story-mode, except the catch is that there are zombies included! John Martson, the protagonist, is alarmed when his family is infected and he must go looking for the cure. Nick Cowen, the critic, thinks Rockstar did a very rewarding job on containing a saga as RDR with zombies. He feels that there is an overuse of zombies but Rockstar sure knows how to put it to good use. He thinks the quality of Undead Nightmare shouldn't be put on the testimony of being in the range for being critiqued on the overuse of zombies.
- What was your personal reaction to reading this selection?
I felt that Nick is above all, completely accurate about the down loadable content. Nick really explains the games high points, and shows that Rockstar was extraordinary when they created this content.
- What do you believe the author's intent was, and what patterns of organization did you observe?
I observed that Nick used more or less spatial. He used the beginning of the plot and moved in relation to the rest of the plot. Then he showed how there was different species of mystical creatures, and how Rockstar was able to create the game. He shows how Rockstar uses the combat skills of the original game and put it in use with zombies.
